:: Walking down the memory lane :: .Lata Gugup.

Yesterday, I called Mr Koo , my secondary school teacher who taught me arts when i was in F2, to invite him for Limei's wedding on behalf of her. Limei wants to invite both Mr Koo and Mr Voon as well.

Mr Voon, was my photography sifu and my F5 form teacher, my add math and physics teacher. He was also our school official photographer and the advisor of the photography club. He always plans wonderful trips for us during school holidays. Sometimes, for weekends, just to chill out after our exams.

We had our frequent trips to Lata Gugup. It's a private farm owns by Mr Voon's friend in Taiping. The place has a small water fall, a double story ‘frame’ house, and a toilet. The double story house is built of wood and it’s not fully covered. It doesn’t have walls. The lower part is a kitchen and the upper area is the place where we sleep. The place has a power generator too.

We normally stay for one night there. In the day time, we would play with the water and at night we’ll normally have BBQ. Mr Koo would bring us some lamb chop, one of his specialties. And we would have feast all night long! After that we’ll talk, play cards or sing. Mr Voon will bring his guitar and play, some times we sang along with him. :p

We normally stayed up till wee hours chit-chatting and laughing away. The next morning, we’ll cook our favorite maggi mee or eat the left-over from the BBQ. It was really fun!

I took these pictures from my photo album with my digi cam, so the quality is not very good :p too lazy to scan, i don't have a scanner anyway.. the photos from our last Lata Gugup trip back in 2000. As always, Mr Voon is there to capture those moments~

After a tired game~

I think we were playing human-tug-a-war or something. it was kinda stupid. haha.. but we had fun~!

1,2....jump~!

..having fun in the water~

Clockwise :
1st pic : me posing, i think i remember mr voon said, there would be some special effect for this take. some fish-view-photo thingie..
2nd pic : haha, Mr Voon always has idea of taking nice pictures, so there were we, the five of us posing according to his direction, he said it would be a beautiful picture.
3rd pic: me and jayne :p

ahh.. I miss Lata Gugup. Maybe we can plan trips to Lata Gugup again, anyone?

during our class farewell party back in 2000, Mr Voon is the only guy in the photo ;)

During Mr Voon's retirement (2001) , the card that i highlighted is made by jayne and i, we spent 8 hours non-stop working on that piece of art. That.. is my school hall..

wow.. wat a great secondary school time you had..

I never had any of this kind of activities... mine was ussually unofficial debates with classmates.. :))

and.. i can see where all the creativity comes from... greeting cards, and pictures all over the place... this is one good example of how a great teacher can make a difference for students..

too bad I didn't hav such a great art teacher... :)) i can still remember every suddenly feeling like mouse when our art teacher walks into the class.. a frown is his sort of greeting...
