Princess Mononoke and Kiki

Last Wednesday, I've watched "Princess Mononoke" with my lifegroup members. We wanted to watch "Kiki, the delivery service" initially, but the dvd player coudn't read the dvd. =( So we decided to watch "Princess Mononoke" which turned out to be a real surprise.

Prince Mononoke

Prince Ashitaka

It was refreshing, to me. It's not like the typical movie/cartoon that I used to watch. I especially like the way the story was presented. The story line was rather simple. The message was clear. But the director managed to fascinate me with the plot and caught my attention for the whole two hours or so. The name of the anime is "Princess Mononoke",but the focus of the story was at Ashitaka, of how he tried to calm the hatred between the wilds/forest and the human. I do not know how to explain. It's just very refreshing for me. I really like it.

Now, I'm really looking forward to watch "Kiki, the delivery service". Masaki, my lifegroup member told me that it's really funny and nice.

I can't wait to be entertained. Waiting for David to pass it to me now. :D

.I wish you love.

..it has been long since i blogged. i've always wanted to post something. but somehow it didn't just didn't happen.

now, i'm just trying to post something here.. to start the ball rolling.. so i'm just simply rambling..

..it's funny. i've even forgotten the password for my blog. i need to reset the password.

..had been listening to some jazzy songs of late. and i really like Rachael Yamagata's rendation of .I wish you love.

I wish you bluebirds in the spring, to give your heart a song to sing,
And then a kiss, but more than this, I wish you love.
And if you like lemonade to cool you in some lazy glade,
I wish you health, and more than wealth, I wish you love.
My breaking heart and I agree that you and I could never be,
So with my best, my very best, I set you free.
I wish you shelter from the storm, a cozy fire to keep you warm,
Most of all, when snowflakes fall, I wish you love.
(musical interlude)
I wish you shelter from the storm, a cozy fire to keep you warm,
Most of all, when snowflakes fall, hot time, I wish you love.
All kinds of love, a whole gang of love.

I’m so happy for my brother, he just left to UK yesterday to continue his degree! So, we had a little family gathering last weekend. Mum drove from JB just to send him off... I'm glad that we could have a lil' get-together before he departs. I'm sure she's going to miss him...

+ crossroad +

Why suddenly life seems to be so meaningless now. Like there’s no purpose for living. I feel like the day and night just passed me by without me realizing.

Crossroad often left me wonders at the purpose of my life. Which direction should I follow, in tune with my purpose of my existence?

annyeong haseyo!

Have not been blogging for awhile. Von kept asking me why I didn’t update my blog. I guess I was just plainly lazy or maybe busy.

Recently, I’ve taken up the free Korean language class in MMU. Prof Kim, come to Malaysia to do some research, and had decided to give the MMU community free Korean classes. I enjoyed myself in his class. He taught us a new Korean song. I’ve learnt a few words in Korean. We practiced it among ourselves. A lot of my friends took the class too, since it’s free. :p

On the first class, Mr Kim asked us to write what we feel about Korea and how we could improve the class. We suggested organizing a class trip to Korea. Little did we know that, our idea was taken seriously by our lecturer. He invited us to visit Korea this second week of March,2006 , when he returned to his hometown for 2 weeks. Whoa.. I was speechless. Accommodation, food and tour guide provided. And now, with the current MAS travel fair, how could I resist it? However as much as I wanted to join the trip, I couldn’t, due to my financial constraint and my workload.

The way I see Mr Kim is that he’s passionate in what he’s doing now. I really do envy those that can work towards their dream, just like pastors, fes workers, social workers, missionaries, artists, designers, singers or even educator.

I wish and hope and pray that one day I, too could find a job/career/path that I’m passionate about.

The first week of 2006

The last performance of Snow Wolf Lake world tour will end in Beijing, today the 7th of January 2006. My new found friend, Jojo and her group of friends are goin there to support the show. I wish I could be there too.Heh. Can't wait for her to come back to tell me all about her trip to Beijing.

This week is quite a 'home-cooked dinner' week. hehe.. my housemate who is currently having her study week, decided not to study and cook dinner for us.. almost everyday. hahaha..

I have been following Moorthy's news and found out that this kind of case has occurred before to Malaysia’s fourth Lord President, Tun Suffian.

I failed in my attempt to win a Study Bible, courtesy of the chief-Bible Surgeon, during a quiz on our last bible surgeons meeting

Anyway, for the first Saturday of 2006, I’m currently in the lab rushing on my project.. though.. where my heart really wants to be is in Beijing at this moment! Haha..
