something to ponder..

There’s something that I would like to share here. This was a sermon I heard on last Sunday during church. And it had been bothering me. Thus, I’ve decided to share it..

I’ve not done much research into it, just some of the obvious facts which most of you had already know.

Below are some bible verses taken from the new testaments, in the books of Gospel, when Jesus was asked by his disciples regarding the signs of the Times and the End of the Age.

And this is what He answered.

Luke 21: 10-11 (Matthew 24:7; Mark 13:8)

10 Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation

and kingdom against kingdom

11 “And there will be great earthquakes in various places,

and famines and pestilences;

and there will be fearful sights

and great signs from heaven

Nation rise against nation (Palestinian and Israelites?)

Kingdom against kingdom (US and Iraq? Wars?)

Great earthquakes (Sumatera earthquake which led to tsunami on 26/12, Sulawesi earthquake on 24/01/05 )

Famines (Africa? Afganistan?)

Pestilences (AIDS? JE? Bird Flu? )

Fearful sight (the destruction of cities? Eg, Acheh, Sri Lanka?)

Luke 21: 25

23 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;”

the sea and the waves roaring (tsunami?)

Was it merely a coincidence that whatever that are happening around the world now coincided with what Jesus said 2000 years ago? You decide.

Psalm 121

I will lift up my eyes to the hills--

From whence comes my help?

My help comes from the Lord,

Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel

Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper;

The Lord is your shade at your right hand,

The sun shall not strike you by day,

Nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;

He shall preserve your soul.

the Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in

From this time forth, and even forevermore.

There will be no Life café without each and every one of you! Thank you for your time and efforts. You all had make Life café a success despite of the circumstances we were facing.

Above all, I would just like to give thanks to the One above whom overseeing the whole event. When you partner with God, no matter how obstructive the circumstances may be (like unorganized or messy are your preparation), the outcome would be highly beyond our expectation, just like CyberChristmas 04/05.
